Today we will indulge in a gourmet lunch and historic cruise aboard the W.W. Durant and marvel at the rustic elegance enjoyed by the Vanderbilt family at Great Camp Sagamore in Raquette Lake, NY. The W.W.Durant is a vessel named for the Gilded Age developer who held title to one million acres of the Central Adirondacks. See the elaborate camps of industrial giants Huntington and Carnegie from the 60-foot double deck vessel. We will also take a guided tour of Great Camp Sagamore. This is a National Historic Landmark, an extraordinary Adirondack Great Camp and 27-building Vanderbilt estate-on a pristine lake in the Forest Preserve.
