You will have some free time to explore the other buildings on the

grounds-the Greenhouse, the Art Museum built by Helen Clay Frick to house her growing art collection, the Car & Carriage Museum where you can learn about the impact cars have had on Pittsburgh’s history and the Museum Shop. Our day ends with dinner at The Church Brew Works. In 1993, the Bishop of Pittsburgh closed the doors of St. John the Baptist Church due to financial burdens and a decline in attendance. On August 1, 1996 The Church Brew Works reopened the doors of St. John’s after converting the building into a microbrewery and restaurant. Enjoy dinner while observing how the renovations have

incorporated many details of the original Church to the aesthetics of the

Brewery. Day Three

After checking out and eating breakfast at our hotel, our trek around Pittsburgh area ends with a guided tour of Fallingwater. In 1935, architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed Fallingwater for

Edgar J. Kaufmann, a Pittsburgh department store owner. Come see the splendor of a vacation home designed around the surrounding nature and an example of a home built with a cantilever (a beam or other structural member that projects beyond its supporting wall or

column). Our lunch will be a Burrito Bar at Falls City Pub.
